The Hedgerow was constructed in 2019 with great attention to detail. The sturdy detached timber lodge sits off the beaten track, at the bottom of a large and pretty garden with private decking and far-reaching views over the Chiltern Hills. Prettily decorated and very cosy, the lodge sleeps 2 people (plus a dog) and has a comfy Hypnos bed, a fully equipped kitchen, sitting and dining area and a shower room with an enormous all singing and dancing shower cubicle. The owner, Katrina, has thought of everything; from all the basics you will need to self cater plus some welcoming extras such as local rapeseed oil, fragrant bathroom toiletries and treats for the dog. Oh, and not to forget delicious homemade cake on arrival!
The lodge is situated alongside the Ridgeway, the Chilterns long-distance walking path and is ideal for dog walking with trails in every direction.
As a bonus, Katrina ‘collects’ vintage caravans and one of her originals, affectionally known as Alice, is available for visitors to use for an occasional nostalgic cup of tea with views of the attractive gardens.
The Hedgerow is suitable for couples looking for a quiet break who enjoy walking, country pubs and visiting quaint villages. There are two magnificent National Trust Properties nearby, Hughenden Manor and Waddesdon.
