My 30 year old daughter and I arrived at The Headland for four days of rest and relaxation. This is just what we enjoyed, and more! The hotel stands alone, very imposing, on the headland overlooking Fistral Bay. It was used for the filming of 'The Witches' in the 1980's. Great fun was had, with our feet up, in our suite watching it one evening! We had two days using the spa. It has just been revamped and is a very calming place to be. The treatments are sympathetic for the individual and fairly priced. The food is exquisite. It offers 'quality over quantity' and, whilst being fine for us, may not suit those with a larger appetite. We booked through Secret Escapes, getting a very good deal overlooking the Bay, sharing a twin bedded room. I was unfortunate to be unwell during the first night and the hotel kindly moved us to a suite. We then had our own rooms with an adjoining area which was a small sitting room with TV/DVD and fridge/drinks making facilities. This was at no extra charge as the room had a sideways view of the headland and sea. Whilst unable to see the full drama of the waves crashing on the beach. I would recommend hiring this room if travelling with a friend, rather than a partner. The hotel could not do enough for their guests. They were thoughtful but non intrusive. A wonderful place to be at any time of year. Wrap up, though, the wind does blow!!
