The Greene Oak is a gastropub just outside Windsor. You can pop in for a pint but most eat as well. As well as being easy to find with good parking, the food is always good, the pub is welcoming and clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. We have been there a number of times, have found the menu and prices more than acceptable and always been impressed. However, we discovered that they regularly appear in Travelzoo’s offers with a a three course dinner for two with a glass of prosecco each at a very reasonable cost (less than £38). There is a standard menu but it varies and there is enough choice, including the veggie option. You are asked to pay the 12.5% service charge as an additional cost but you can have a great evening out for less than £50.
