This attractive hotel is located in Barford a quiet village near the M40 and a short distance from Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and its beautiful castle, Leamington Spa and the Cotswolds. We were welcomed by friendly staff and enjoyed a very nice afternoon tea in the spacious bar lounge, but would have preferred this in their lovely conservatory restaurant overlooking the rear garden with just a glimpse of the church next door. There is a further bar lounge and a small lounge off reception. Also, a spa where beauty treatments can be booked, small indoor pool and gymnasium. Plenty of parking on the frontage.
Some refurbishment is being carried out upstairs and our bedroom on the 2nd floor overlooked the garden and was freshly decorated with tasteful furnishings and a lovely comfortable bed. The modern bathroom was superb. It was spotlessly clean.
We enjoyed all the food there. The restaurant’s a la carte menu is very good but we opted for a delicious bar meal in the evening. Our self service buffet breakfast was all we could ask for with attentive staff on hand. It was a most pleasant and relaxing break at this welcoming hotel.
