Originally booked for 4, changed to 7, then 9, so when 10 of us arrived we expected problems. Nothing was too much trouble, and a table was reconfigured in minutes. The place was buzzing due to it being a bank holiday, and we envisaged a long wait for our food. Not so! Our less than simple order was taken by delightful staff and our starter arrived within 15 minutes, pretty fast considering that it was a full house. We are an aging but very discerning bunch, many of whom had not visited the Fludyers before, so we were pleased to find that they all enjoyed their starters. The main courses all arrived in good time and at a good temperature and were well received by all, the sauces getting rave reviews by all. Puddings were good too, but to be honest we had probably had far too much of the special offer albarino to make a concise critique on that course, although being a driver my pear tart tatin was very tasty. Summing up it is most unusual for all 10 of us to enjoy everything, so full marks for the great food, great service, and great atmosphere. We shall of course return.
