We were lucky enough to win a nights stay at the Elephant's Nest Inn near Tavistock on the edge of beautiful Dartmoor through a competition on Silver Travel Advisor. It couldn't have suited us better. It was the first time we had taken our little dog to a hotel with us and she had a ball. A beautiful room (white linen so we were glad we had taken a throw with us) and modern bathroom with all the facilities you would expect. We were invited to take Rosie down to the bar with us in the evening for our meal and she loved it. None of this stuck in the car business. She was as good as gold and the food was superb. A great menu with something for every palatte and pocket. Had the weather been more clement we could have easily walked up the road for 10 minutes over the cattle grid and explored Dartmoor by foot, instead we drove up and watched the sheep and Dartmoor ponies grazing in the mist and rain. Would definitely go here again and felt very comfortable with having the dog with us.
