Reasons for trip

The Court is set in the small village of Whitchurch near Ross-on-Wye. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and a stones throw from the river foot path to Symands Yat East it is a delightful hearth away from home for walkers of all walks of life.

The court is an old manor house refurbished with two dining rooms both formal and restful near a warm fire. There is also a less formal bar near the entrance where you can choose from an extensive cold and hot drink menu along with several appetising snacks or lunch is on offer.

The facilities are well-liked by the locals for the old world charm and first class caterers of private affairs and weddings.

The outer court yard is beautifully landscaped and well-appointed for any kind of outdoor dinner function.

The Court Restaurant’s menu features both European & British Cuisine and never fails to please. Often, local game is featured as well as seafood dishes.

The service is very good with very friendly & attentive waiters and waitresses so well staffed.

When you step through the door of the Tudor Style mansion you enter the foyer where there is always an open fire to greet you in the cold winter & spring months.
