We went to “The Club House”:http://theclubhouse.uk.com/ at Liverpool One for before dinner drinks. It was a week night in May and the place was very busy – possibly the after work crowd? This venue is located at the riverside of Liverpool One and overlooks Albert Dock on one side and Liverpool One on the other. It has a massive outdoor garden/patio and is marketed as a building lifted out of the Hamptons on the US east coast. We had a look inside but there didn’t appear to be an empty table, or upstairs on the outside balcony.
In any case, we ended up at a picnic table downstairs and ordered sangrias from the outdoor bar. The barman had to go inside to get our drinks. When he returned, he followed me to our table.
The atmosphere was festive, the music was toe tapping and we enjoyed sipping our drinks before heading on for dinner.
