My daughter & her husband chose this hotel as the venue for their wedding & additionally we stayed 2 nights at the hotel. Overall I think the staff did a great job of making the wedding a day to remember. The staff were very helpful in setting the wedding, tables, decorations etc. up & their execution of the events of the day was flawless. When timings needed to be adjusted then they were very flexible & accommodating. Food was well presented & hot courses were hot, not easy when you're serving to 100 people. Special requirements were accommodated.
For the Bedrooms (we had the standard double), they were clean, well equipped & we had 2 excellent nights sleep. The suites (The Bride & Groom had one) were amazing. Good selection of drinks at the bar (including Costa coffee) & helpful bar staff. There was also a Spa but I didn't use it, but the people relaxing in the lounge after a treatment seemed to enjoy it. A small room with a TV so the boys could catch a brief sneaky update on the football was a bonus.
The only niggle we had was that the rooms we'd arranged for set up on the Friday weren't available as arranged. That was an irritant in an otherwise great performance by the hotel staff.
Whilst this was a very hectic & enjoyable experience for us, I can image it being a good venue for a relaxing break, with beautiful Cambridge close by.
