I stayed here on a coach party visit for three nights in July 2013. We were warmly greeted, and efficiently given our room keys within minutes of arrival. Our room was fine with complimentary tea & biscuits, a shower and a separate bath, large beds, TV and free Wi-Fi. The bar areas were comfortable, and the hotel is beautifully landscaped with a lake in the grounds. Every member of staff made us feel welcome, and this is a hotel I would recommend. I would certainly stay here again, if in the area. On our last night we were given a complimentary glass of wine, which was a really nice touch. Check out was smooth and hassle free. My only niggle was with the food. To be fair, as a coach party we were given our own menu, but a three course meal of soup, cottage pie and fruit salad was really rather disappointing. There were three choices of starter, main and dessert, but over the three nights I never found anything that I could say I was thrilled with. Maybe it would be possible for the hotel to offer coach parties the option of choosing from the a la carte menu for a supplement? I would willingly have paid more for this option.
