Whilst visiting The Cotswolds, we went on several walks, and one of the ones we visited was The Black Horse. It's nestled beautifull amongst the gorgeous cottages of this stunning village. The pub inside is very quaint with Cotswold stone walls, and the atmosphere is calm and inviting. There is a fire at the far end of the dining room, lovely to sit by after a long walk, and because we went over the new year, the Christmas tree was adding to the lovely country atmosphere. The menu was varied, and there was also a specials board, which had duck breast, fish, and different homemade pies. We both opted for steak and ale pies, which had very generous portions of meat in them, three vegetables and of course yummy chips! Delicious! The portions were very generous and I was pleased I was having a long walk to walk off those caleries! The people were very friendly, and the service good. I can see why it was a popular little pub. We'd certainly go again if we were lucky enough to be visiting Naunton again.
