If you prefer the more individual type hotels to the 'big chains', then the Belmont is for you when visiting Leicester. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and could not be more helpful. The internal geography of the hotel makes it an interesting challenge when returning to rooms. Very unusually there are several single rooms which are not just oversized cupboards! One is more like a suite with separate semi-contained areas for bedroom, bathroom (yes a real bath!), and sitting room. Just a few minutes walk from rail station. Very handy position for everything and so nearby for the University.
