Situated in Furnas, Sao Miguel the options to get here are tour (expensive) Rent a car or bus for a couple of Euros.
We attended in heavy rain and, after seeing the Fumaroles in the town we descended into the park wet to the skin.
The park cost around 20 Eu for 2 x adults children were free plus a 2 eu deposit for a towel.
This is a large botanical garden with lots of large pools and fish, on a sunny day it would’ve been great to spend the full day exploring, however we had sideways rain.
Now, the upside to this place are the volcanic pools, 38c and changing rooms on site.
The water looks orange due to the minerals but the pools are fantastic, very relaxing and your skin feels alive after you get out, we spent a couple of hours in there and despite heavy rain, thoroughly enjoyed it.
