We have just returned from the beautiful Island of Telendos, we have been going on and off for 20 years because once you have been you just have to keep going back.
The Island is small with no roads and just a handful of Tavernas, we stay on the upstairs of a small apartment which overlooks the sea, there is nothing better than watching the world go by in the evening with a G & T on the balcony before heading off for a simple evening meal. If you are looking for a restful holiday then this is for you as there is very little activity going on. However for 2 euros you can catch the little taxi boats and go over to the nearest Island Kalymnos for the day or for a romantic meal in the evening, we often find that we are the only ones on the late boat back to Telendos sitting on the front of the boat with Greek music playing just for us.
To get to Telendos is not easy, we fly to Kos and then a short taxi ride to the port for the ferry to Kalymnos, another taxi to Myrties where we have our first drink at Babis Bar and then wait for the little boats to take us over to Telendos, where we always get a wonderful welcome.
