Always on the lookout for a new place to try for a meal, I checked out a new restaurant in my neighbourhood called Taverna 13thirtyone (https://www.taverna1331.ca/). Located on the main street of Hyde Park in Northwest London, Ontario, Taverna 13thirtyone offers a good selection of tasty options. The atmosphere is modern rustic cabin and the service was excellent.
On the day I went with a neighbour for lunch we both enjoyed the bison burger: 6 ounce patty, aged gouda, house-made smoky tomato chutney, garlic & herb aioli greens, and red onion. For dessert I tried the dark chocolate torte and she tried the lemon meringue tart. Neither of us were disappointed! It’s nice to find somewhere that is within walking distance so no one has to refrain from drinking and be the designated driver.
The restaurant is open for lunch from 11:30 to 4:00, happy hour is from 2:00 to 5:00 and dinner is served from 5:00 pm until close. Sunday brunch is from 10:30 to 1:00. If driving, parking is free in the lot behind the restaurant.
