I’ve been to the Tamarisk several times and am going again next month. It’s a small family run hotel on the Bodrum peninsula, with 24 rooms and 18 suites. It has a beach front location, and is particularly good on water sports, sailing, canoeing, wind surfing, etc.

It’s quite isolated, but they run a minibus service into Bodrum, and a water taxi to Bitez, a nearby resort, and a walk along the beach finds small restaurants.

The family and staff are delightful, and the food excellent. At night, tables are put on the beach, within inches of the sea – so romantic!

The gardens are full of flowers and there are hammocks slung between the tamarisk trees by the sea.
