We travelled on a Saga holiday to The Kamala Beach Resort in Phuket. (I am not talking about the journey with Qatar Airways which was horrendous but, no problem, as you can fly with other airlines).
The resort hotel is beautiful and set right by the beach. The Sunprime is for adults only which we prefer and it boasts four swimming pools, two with swim-up bars and two fantastic restaurants where we had the best food ever (including cruise ships). There was a full Thai menu, Italian pizzas and pastas plus Western dishes such as chicken, pork and the most tender steaks we have ever eaten. One of the restaurants had the most fantastic buffet every night, usually themed, and there was so much choice we always overate!. Our bedroom was very large, even the bed was oversized, 7ft wide! Our balcony overlooked lovely gardens and we could see the sea from it. The Thai staff were so friendly and helpful and the service was first-rate. Thailand is known as The Land of Smiles and everyone smiled at us. I cannot praise this hotel highly enough and its location is just great.
We did not really enjoy our various excursions away from the resort as Phuket has now been spoiled by over-tourism and over-population. The roads are now so busy and there is not really much to see anyway.
My satisfaction rating is purely for the Hotel and not the journey or the island.
