We stayed just one night so that we were close to the NEC for an exhibition. It was very handy for the NEC and the price was reasonable. However I do have reservations about recommending this place as we found the breakfast to be very poor value. It was just served in a small dark room and it was just a couple of tables laid out as a buffet, with dishes of eggs/bacon/sausages keeping warm. There was very little choice and as a vegetarian hardly any. I think we had beans and mushrooms. The night before we had arrived late and had dinner in the restaurant there. Although it was late, we still had a very nice 3 course meal with wine in there and it was very good. It was not gourmet cooking by any means, but it was decent food and nicely cooked and served. Our room was ok, it overlooked the car park and was of a moderate size with bathroom. We were not in there long so we did not need any extras. The bathroom was a little small and needed a refurb – as did the whole hotel really. It was all a bit dated, but as I said it was a reasonable price so we did not complain. Certainly very handy for any events you wish to see at the NEC if you have to travel far for it.
