A good position on the Quay next to Rick Stein shop & takeaway. Parking opposite the cafe in the car park. Either sit down comfortably & enjoy good fresh fish & chips. Plenty to choose from. Or order a takeaway & walk along the Camel Estuary to one of the benches with a view. Hire a bike afterwards & ride along the lovely flat Estuary view path. Tip. If you don’t like food in a paper carton, take your own plate!
It is interesting to hear the foreign tourists talk about Rick Stein, having seen his programmes or read about him. They all want a photo of themselves taken there. Good local beers too.
His shop is tempting & full of delicious things to eat & cooking accessories. Then there is the Lobster hatchery to look around.
Best of all are the stunning cliff path walks & the golden beaches. Especially out of season. Dogs are allowed too out of season. The fishing port & town, again with tempting boutique shops are a delight when it is not high season.
