My wife and I visited this hotel in February. This part of the world is ideal for a short break anytime of the year. Approximately 16 miles west of Soouthampton and situated right by the Solent, Lymington is a bustling Georgian market town close to the New Forest National Park

Stanwell house is situated in the High Street and has its own private car park. The hotel is cosmopolitan and stylish and we had a warm welcome. There's a choice of Terrace rooms, four poster, suites and garden rooms. We had a room overlooking the High Street with a separate sitting area and a large luxury bathroom with bath and walk in shower, and a lot of personal touches.

The service throughout was excellent. The dining options in the elegant airy restaurant were superb, from the Seafood Menu or the Bistro menu, all accompanied by a great wine list. Definitely a great place to stay with lots to do nearby including some interesting shops in Lymington itself as well as the nearby Quay area where we enjoyed a splendid walk.

You can see more at Stanwell House website which has regular offers.
