My daughter (23) was going to Australia for a year. We are very close, so I wanted to give her a special treat, just before she left for her trip.

I chose the Stanley House Hotel, in Mellor, Lancashire. It is situated in the beautiful Ribble Valley area. If you love the countryside, then this is the place! The hotel is set in 54 acres, and the views are superb.

The rooms are very spacious, beautifully designed, and with all mod cons. The beds were really comfy too.

Now we had settled in, my daughter decided to use the amazing spa. It is one of the most fabulous spas I have seen. Let the pampering begin! Fully re-vitalized, after an array of treatments, we chilled out for a while, then changed for the evening.

The food really impressed us! Each course was cooked to perfection, and the choice was excellent. You could not fault anything, and the desserts were to die for!
We had such a fabulous time, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys the finer things in life. It’s not that expensive either. The staff were all really friendly, and we were made to feel really welcome. It’s a thumbs up from me! 🙂
