We were taken for afternoon tea by our Son, Daughter in law and two young Grandsons (6 & 11).
The hotel is beautiful, old building full of character, the room we had tea in was nice and warm and our table was huge unlike a lot of places were the table feels cramped, we had lots of room, the food was great, the softest bread and they felt like they had been made as we walked in the door, the cakes were moist and a good selection, we were given tea and coffee which they refilled and offered throughout. we did not feel uncomfortable when the children played on the floor. the best bit………the staff!
absolutely great, welcoming, warm and always smiling. we will go back again and we will be going for lunch.
