I flew direct from London Heathrow to Colombo with SriLankan Airlines – a ten and half hour flight can seem daunting but thanks to the airline, it was an enjoyable experience. There was plenty of entertainment on option including the latest films and TV – in fact I finally got round to watching the new James Bond movie which definitely helped pass a few hours in the air. And, there was a great selection of short films on the sightseeing and tourist attractions of Sri Lanka which really elevates the excitement of arriving and getting out to explore!

The food and beverage service was plentiful, with a meal and drinks served shortly after take off, and another a few hours before landing. The food options were varied and my choice of lamb kofta was a a hit. The service was spot on with attentive staff willing to help at every turn.
