Had alot of comments from friends saying oooh what a long way to go for a week, yes it is a ten hour flight but its saving grace is, there is no jetlag as such due to just a 2 hour time difference! On our arrival were greeted with cooling face cloths, warm greetings of "jambo!" and "karibu", hello, and welcome and a cool drink. Our room was great, had a sea view and was bottom floor, close to everything! It was a quiet hotel, but there was plenty to occupy you, table tennis, pool, petanque, loads of entertainment and games day and night and a wonderful beauty salon offering an array of treatments at a very reasonable cost. The food and drinks were great, waiter service available everywhere, even by the pool, and we like the fact the drinks were bottled, ie beer and soft drinks. Main buffet was fantastic, my partner is not a big buffet fan but he was thrilled with the choice and quality. We also tried the Italian and grill restaurants which were also very good. The staff were all fantastic, so friendly I did not come across one surly attitude at all. The room was comfy and kept spotless. No complaints at all. The beach was superb, with free sunbeds, towels and parasols, the beach vendors are a bit pesky but a firm no thanks will suffice, and they are actually quite funny and pleasant. The pool is lovely, lagoon style with a swim up bar, great place to make new friends for a chat.
