Reasons for trip

Personal / family celebration

We stayed for 2 nights in the Hotel Seefeld. Arriving at Zurich airport, we found out that it is much easier to get to the hotel than following the information on the hotel website. We took a train to Zurich Stadelhofen, from where it was a five minute walk to the hotel.

After a very friendly welcome, we found our room to be bright, clean and quite a good size. There were no tea making facilities, we should have checked and brought our own travel kettle.

The lake and Opera House are nearby. We enjoyed walking along the side of the lake in the sunshine. We also used a free city map to do a walking tour of the old town which was very interesting.

There are plenty of places to eat out. We had 2 very good (but expensive) evening meals in local restaurants.

We slept very well. Buffet breakfast was good.

Tram stops just outside, which is handy.

All in all, a good place to stay.

I’m not sure about facilities for people with limited mobility. There is a lift to all floors.
