This is an out of town pub restaurant with a difference since it is set in its own grounds off the beaten track.
The restaurant is owned by a local family and they are always friendly and provide very good British Fare with a well stocked bar. You won’t have to ask for extra portions as the plate is always full on arrival and more than enough to satisfy any appetite.
The Sunday Roast Carvery meal is especially good value and very popular.
You have the choice of the Snug with the Main Bar or the large Main Dining Room. Seating I would guess for near 80 people in the combined rooms.
Access for wheel chair & disabled is easily achieved directly from the car park in front of the pub. The clean and well decorated restrooms are also conveniently located at the front of the premises.
I found the service quick and friendly. Our Indoor Bowling Group has our luncheons for birthdays and gatherings for a meal.
There is a large beer garden at the back with a play ground set for children and several picnic tables for Spring & Summer Day Outings.
I thoroughly enjoy it every time I visit the Somerset Arms.
