Solly’s is a Jewish family bakery and deli and you can eat in or take out. There are three locations of “Solly’s”:http://www.sollysbagelry.com/ in Vancouver. I had heard that if you’re looking for great bagels in Vancouver, Solly’s is the place to go. I however, was tempted by the cinnamon buns. There’s nothing like the smell of just baked cinnamon buns – too much for me to resist; warm and buttery with lots of brown sugar and cinnamon. I enjoyed mine with a glass of lemonade in the spring sunshine sat outside at the small patio on West Broadway.
I visited the one in Kitsilano and will definitely be back when I’m next in town. Maybe I’ll try one of the breakfast bagels or a traditional smoked meat bagel and/or some soup. The menu looks fantastic.
Parking is available at meters right outside on the street. However, I was staying with friends in the area and walked.
