Relaxation

We stayed at the fabulous Smugglers Cove in St Lucia in July 2011.

I simply cannot recommend the resort enough! It appealed to a wide variety of traveller's from young families, singles, honeymooners and the more mature clientele and there is something to suit everyone!

The resort itself is beautiful and the staff are absolutely wonderful!

There are so many activities to do that are included in the all inclusive prices but should you wish to just relax poolside or on their private beach then you won't be disappointed..

You can dine in a variety of resteraunts but we absolutely adored the Waterside Grill for breakfast and dinner and La Tratoria for lunch. The pasta and Scallops are to die for. To dine and have sea turtles swimming underneath us was a wonderful experience. It is an extremely romantic venue in the evenings. If Chrissie is your waitress then you are in for a lovely evening, she is wonderful!

The accomodation varies from Basic to Luxurious and we stayed in the Superior Deluxe Garden View rooms and the beds were huge lol We had a lovely little terrace where we drank coffee and ate pastries in the mornings and had a wonderful beach view as well as the gardens,

The staff are extremely helpful and really do everything in their power to accomodate you and make your stay wonderful!

If you wish to venture outside of the resort then it is very safe to do so and I highly recommend a visit to the local Castries Market where you can haggle to your heart's content and sample the local delicacies.

The 4 hour horseriding experience and beach barbecue is FANTASTIC! and well worth the money for just $30! You will go to a wonderful venue called Marjorie's at Cas En Bas Beach for an out of this world meal. (Take lots of dollars for tipping and you will be treated like royalty 😉

One of my tips is to shop where the locals shop and where the locals eat, prices are a lot cheaper! The currency is East Caribbean dollars but they LOVE the American Dollar so take plenty

Have a wonderful stay if you do go!
