I visited Silversmiths with a party of five just before Christmas. The restaurant runs two evening sittings at this time of year and we had opted for the earlier time. We were greeted with champagne cocktails as we were seated at our table which was a lovely touch. I opted for a pidgeon breast starter followed by a traditional turkey main. The food was well cooked and the portions were more than adequate. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. Although there are two sittings we did not feel rushed.
Loos are located upstairs although there is a disabled toilet on the ground floor which is unheated.
I think we paid £35 per head for three courses.
Overall highly recommended.
