Signor Valentino at St David’s Centre, East side Cardiff. Thursday lunch was £10 for two courses, and the day I went there was 30% off the main menu. I didn’t particularly want two courses – lunch was just an indulgence today- but there was a good choice of options.
I went for the chicken in red wine sauce ( a bit like gravy really) with vegetables of the day and pan fried potatoes, so a good price at 30% off £11.95. It was a fair size portion of chicken, lots of sauce and a mixture of well-cooked fresh veg and baby potatoes. A very nice glass of house red wine completed a light lunch.
Staff were excellent and service good. It would be better if the plate was warm, especially with a thick sauce, but I would certainly go there again.
