The Shuttleworth Collection mainly consists of vintage aircraft and memorabilia (they have flying days during the summer) but also has some old vehicles and carriages. There is a large car park and a good cafe/gift shop with indoor and outdoor (overlooking the runways) seating.
The collection is housed in a series of purpose built hangers and is well laid out, spacious and informative. It took us about two hours to look at everything. My only complaint is that there was no way out at the far end to the car park so we had to retrace our steps.
We visited on a joint ticket to see the Swiss Garden next door but it can be visited by itself. The website is www.shuttleworth.org and cost £10 for seniors or £16 including garden entrance.
