Have now visited twice recently and can honestly say this is the most friendly hotel & restaurant that I have visited, Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the Italian family owners right down to the night porter (who in the early hours, while I was wandering around, offered to make me a cup of coffee). The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable, mine seemed a bit cold despite the heating full on but other people's rooms seemed fine. There is a lift going up to the 1st (and only) floor. In reception there is comfortable seating and a large TV, in the evening this is where you will find the senior member of the Italian owners (watching Italian football, but he would have been quite happy to turn it over if I'd wished). On our first visit we were there for a function in the Amalfi Suite, where the excellent food was served promptly to the 100+ crowd and piping hot. Breakfast is served in the VesuviO Restaurant, where we have also dined. The Menu is mainly traditional Italian but they do an excellent Sunday Roast. It does get quite busy and I would recommend booking. This is where the Italians eat so you know it's good. Excellent food, excellent service and a good room, what more could you want?
