Rasa Sentosa Resort is run by world wide company Shangri La and just one of the many little touches which makes your stay memorable are the ribboned book marks left nightly on your pillows and which contain quotes from James Hilton's novel,,Lost Horizon.

Plush is the only word which can describe the hotels main rooms, from the 'chill room' which is a quiet haven with leather armchairs, to the several restaurants dotted about the hotel grounds and along Siloso Beach.

The hotel backs onto the island's forest and this provides amusing and unexpected treats with wild Macacque monkeys, peacocks and water monitor lizards roaming the grounds on occasion.

The Caribbean style swimming pool has it's own bar and jacuzzi areas for just loafing about whilst the nearby beaches are literally a minute's walk away.

Free transport in the form of tractor-trains leave frequently for nearby attractions with plenty of activities for all.

Leaving the island for the city of Singapore is easy and exciting, having the choice of cable car, monorail, bus or covered walkway.

The main attraction of the island, Universal Studios is but a short and free ride away.

The staff at the resort are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them.
