Walking into the Shard Shangrila Hotel is an experience of a lifetime. The ambiance and luxury are inspiring and at the same time relaxing. It is as if you are in a time bubble, away from the world. The views ( day and night) are so breathtaking we didn’t shut the blinds at all. Those extra touches such as chocolates, binoculars and yes even a warm toilet seat all release the stress and tensions of London. We were on the 46th Floor and soon venture to the 52nd floor to swim in the infinity pool. the attendant waits for you to come out of the pool with a warm towel and you can lie on a bed, read, sleep and chill.
I can only recommend you forget the price and go for it – the restaurant was continually full but again the experience of dining with a view over London is worth the effort and cost. I found the staff at all levels responded immediately, were friendly and helpful and smiled a lot – by then I was smiling a lot too! I just loved it but of course, I now want to return to experience it all again, better start saving up!
