Seaham Hall is an amazing place, total luxury from the moment you pull up and your eyes hit the beautiful Hall and amazing fountain outside. I stayed for one night in an executive room and the room was absolutely huge with plenty of gadgets to keep you amused including a fantastic lighting system and Bang and Olufsen televisions which are really high-tech. They include a CD library which I enjoyed playing with!
Use of the spa is complimentary when you are a hotel guest and is accessed from the hotel via an underground walkway which is an experience in itself. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is a bother to them, we asked for some history on the hall and the receptionist immediately printed out some facts for us.
It is very much a relaxing experience as everything seems so laid back and the sheer environment of the spa instantly makes your stresses melt away. The spa has a swimming pool, outdoor hot tubs, sauna, steam room, Turkish bath and much more, plus you can purchase treatments at an extra cost.
Breakfast in bed is standard here and is something I urge you to take full advantage of, order as much as you like from the card in your room which you hang on the door before you go to bed. Your breakfast is then brought to your room at the time you requested, brilliant!
The hotel is in a remote area but I thought this was a plus point as it is out of the way of the hustle and bustle yet in easy reach of cities such as Newcastle, Sunderland and Durham so there are plenty of areas to explore. All in all a wonderful stay and I can’t wait to go back!
