Although it was some time ago when we stayed here, the memory lives on about the wonderful food! An excellent hotel for any foodie! During our stay, there were many nationalities staying there and everyone was catered for. In the evening the meals were themed – it would be a Cyprus night or a Malta night, an Italian night, etc. Across the road from the hotel was Mellieha Bay – our trip was in December, so there were not many bikini clad individuals on the glorious sands, but it was what I call "cardigan weather" It was a comfortable climate – slightly warmer than the weather in Yorkshire in December! Just outside the hotel was that all important facility – a bus stop! We could travel (quite cheaply) on a bus straight from the transport museum (or so it seemed), to Sliema or Valletta. Most people drove on the left – there were exceptions which made for interesting road travel. The Maltese were very friendly, happy that their livelihood depended on us tourists. We had to change buses at Valletta to get to Mdina – where history meets today, a must for tourists. All in all a delightful place for a holiday.
