Arriving at Venice’s Santa Lucia train Station you might feel overwhelmed with bustling tourists vying for gondola rides whilst the Venetians sit back and sip a Raboso.
I recommend taking a right outside the station. Take a waterbus for Piazzale Romaor or take a 10 minute stroll, where on your left you’ll see the Santa Chiara Hotel.
A clean, boutique style hotel in a great location, nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Venetian life which will provide you respite from a days sightseeing. The room I stayed in was decorated Venetian style, the bathroom clean modern and well thought out. The bed was comfy and after hours of sightseeing was very welcome!
A wide range of buffet style breakfast was perfect.
Ideal for those who might not have previously booked as you can be bombarded by touts luring you to terrible accommodation.
