My wife and I, looking for a relaxing and quiet holiday in the sun, spent a week at the Sani Beach Hotel in early May. We could not have been more pleased with our choice.
Without a doubt, we will return. Not for nothing has this hotel been regularly voted the best in Greece, in the top 5 in Europe by Trip Advisor – and so on.
The accommodation was excellent, there is a choice of at least five resturants, the staff are outstandingly welcome and helpful and the setting more or less perfect. There is also an excellent spa, there are daily excursions – we really could not think of any way in which our week could have been bettered.
Going at the time we did made a lot of difference, it should be said. The hotel is famous for being family-friendly and there were a large number of families with small children there although the whole complex was, I should guess, no more than 25% full at this time of year. It is definitely a different thing in July and August, the staff say.
Anyway, far from the children being annoying, it was fun watching their antics and, in any case, there was plenty in the way of distractions for them to enjoy. Another good thing was that a number of the restaurants were adults only, too. And the Greek wine was a revelation – plenty of choice and delicious, too!
Free wi-fi, any water sport you wanted – what else? Well, the real bonus was the good value: we paid no more than £1,200 for us both for a week, full board, including flights from Gatwick and transfers to and from Thessaloniki airport – a real bargain!
We would strongly recommend it as the perfect resort for a relaxing holiday.
