We visited in August this year as a last minute plan to grab a holiday. This hotel is all inclusive and adults only. I was excited to visit Ibiza as neither of us had been before. The hotel is in a lovely position, overlooking the beach, and surrounded by pines. It is quite isolated, and this, along with the all inclusive board, means you do become tied to the hotel, as we were only there for a week it wasn’t a problem. We paid extra for a sea view room, this was called the “Royal” upgrade. This gave you access to a green room which was well stocked with an abundance of alcohol, ice, mixers and snacks. The hotel has a fitness centre (as if!) and a spa, I did treat myself to a massage which was as close to fitness I could get. The food was fresh and plentiful but not too exciting, although you do get one visit to the al la carte restaurant during a weeks’s stay. The things we enjoyed the most were snorkelling in the shallow bay in the afternoon, feeding the fish with food we’d snaffled from the lunchtime buffet, then sitting in the jacuzzi overlooking the beach in the early evening. I’m not sure I would go all inclusive again as I definitely drank too much and being left to mix your own drinks was a recipe for hangovers. I found the sight of all the bags of single use plastic cups disturbing, I’m sure there must be a more environmentally friendly way to keep guests happy? The hotel has an entertainments programme which was slightly cheesy but good fun. Overall it was a good holiday and I’d be happy to visit another part of this lovely island. It really is quite a cool place!
