Gastronomy

We loved our stay at Sandals Grande! It seems an extravagant holiday in terms of cost – but you really do get so much thrown in! The grounds are impeccably kept meaning myself and husband in our late 60s felt safe moving around the resort. Very well lit and even paths, and rooms right next to the beach sealed the deal! Think sunrises sitting in bucket chairs, morning coffee and delectable cakes! We were set for the day on the plentiful loungers, and we enjoyed the Cocktails and lunch buffer being so close. Staff were all friendly and English speaking. We loved the water sports included such as the snorkeling and kayaking. Those little touches of returning to your room to cold wine and a Wedding Anniversary cake made it even more of a special holiday. For us, the appeal of jumping in a taxi and going to restaurants on holiday had worn off. We enjoyed Kimono’ s, La Tosca and all the other themed restaurants. It made you feel you were not at an all-inclusive. Entertainment in the evening was great – we enjoyed a dance to the live band. White night was fantastic with the chocolate buffet, and we enjoyed the BBQ on the beach very much! There was one big staircase to the Entertainment area, but we managed o.k. The whole hotel felt spacious yet everything was close and atmosphere magic. It really was a magical trip, and we hope to return one day! Over 60s can certainly travel long haul!
