We tend to return to places we know – and more importantly, like. And the Salvation Army Guest House in Ringgenberg, nr Interlaken, Switzerland is no exception. We've been regulars there for years. It has lost none iof its charm, and if anything is even better than when first visited over ten years ago.
Few places with national B&B endorsement are as reasonable, and add to that an excellently equipped kitchen for a modest additional fee, a lounge and beautifully kept garden. We had a double room with a balcony – we loved seeing the changing vistas of the mountains each day.
Accommodation at the Guesthouse qualifies one for the Interlaken card, giving free travel in the area on public transport. So we made good use, combining walks with bus or train travel to Niederried, Iselwalt, Wilderswil, and of course Interlaken itself.
We'll be back there sooner or later.
