As a recent single lady with no desire to go on a sun holiday and sit around the pool relaxing I decided to go on a sailing trip and found Getaway Sailing. Having searched the internet and with much apprehension I phoned Getaway Sailing to discuss whether someone like me would fit in as I hadn’t even stepped on a yacht before. From the very first phone call I knew that I would be welcomed with open arms and not regarded as a loner with no-one to go on holiday with. I phoned the company several times to ask further questions and they were so helpful and were always there with an answer and to assure me that I would be so welcome. I was very nervous about flying out to meet strangers on my forthcoming trip but from the moment I arrived at the marina to meet my fellow passengers and crew my fears were forgotten. The laughter started immediately and continued for the whole week. It has changed my life. I made so many friends from different walks of life and different nationalities that we hope to meet up later this year on another trip around the Greek Islands and I am even considering going on a second trip to Croatia I loved it so much. I have found myself again after a traumatic period in my life so a HUGE thank you to all the staff of Getaway Sailing. See you soon.
