From the moment you walk in to this hotel, you feel like royalty as you enter a stunning courtyard and shown to the check in area where you are greeted by the most polite staff who take the weight of travelling off your shoulders. You may be taken on a tour of the stunning building, where you really do get a sense of this hotel’s true wonders. The hotel is based on Dante’s Divine Comedy, which you soon realise as you see the red pool in the basement representing Inferno and wondering to the restaurant full of foliage in an ode to Paradise (the tasting menu not to be missed – a true gastronomic experience) . It really is a thing of brilliance. Then, you get to your room, each one a tale, each crafted and styled in a unique way. Some have stone boulder doors that roll back, some have amazingly crafted four-poster beds, and all with specially selected artwork and antiques that make them special.
