We all enjoyed our meals, had good portions and the food was hot and well-cooked. There was a good choice of dishes on the menu (though no desserts). The prices were very reasonable and, even with beers and a few bottles of wine, the bill only came to £85 for four.
Also, on the plus side, one of our party didn’t like spicy food and the restaurant was able to provide a very tasty alternative, unlike most Indian curry houses.
The place lacked atmosphere/imagination but it was clean and well-laid out. Very little to indicate it was a Thai restaurant which was a shame.
I would have given this restaurant four stars but for two reasons. Firstly we had to wait a very long time for our food with no explanation/apology given. The reason given as we left was that they’d had a lot of takeaways to deal with. In our book that’s not an acceptable excuse.
Secondly, the waitress spent all evening calling us ‘sweeties’ ‘sweethearts’ etc which I just find annoyingly patronizing. Am I alone in this I wonder?
Would I go back? Probably not, but I do like to try different places to eat.
