This is a delightful 1920s wooden house with bags of character and many original features in the centre of Twilingate.
There is a large entrance hall with large kitchen/dining room beyond. A stylish staircase leads up to the bedrooms. We had a very nice ensuite room at the front of the house with a queen size bed and single bed and lots of extra pillows and blankets. Furniture was 'chintzy' and comfortable. The shower was excellent and there was a plentiful supply of thick fluffy towels and plentiful toiletries.
As elsewhere in Newfoundland the room wasn't serviced during our stay but clean towels were readily provided when I asked.
There is internet access.
The attic is currently being converted into a honeymoon suite.
The owners live 10minutes away but there was someone waiting to greet us when we arrived and there was a telephone number to contact them.
During the day guests have full access to the kitchen which is well equipped with large fridge freezer, plenty of crockery and cooking utensils. There are a couple of reasonable foodstores in Twillingate so we bought food which we cooked each night. We also used the tables as a work area during the evening as there was little working space in the bedroom.
The owners come and prepare breakfast which was one of the best during the whole of our time in Newfoundland with plenty of choice and home made jams. Toast was plentiful and more was offered without having to ask.
We liked this place.
