This hotel has the most fabulous location with a beer garden overlooking the Wye Valley. Part of the Old English Hotels group, the room was spotless and the welcome good. We had asked for a low floor as we were travelling with my 85 year old aunt, but had to negotiate several staircases to reach our bedroom. The dining room was dirty and we gave feedback at reception to this effect. Breakfast on the first day was poor, the bacon only just coloured and flabby. There was a lack of cutlery and the dining room was vey dark. We ate toast only on day two as didn't want a similar experience. Food in the bar was average pub food. I had to ask for the 'extras' with my curry as they didn't appear. If you read my other reviews you'll see that I rarely complain so this is an unusual review. Would I stay again? Absolutely for the room and the views, but I wouldn't eat there.
