It is lovely to find good food & friendly service in one place. Nothing is too much for the staff. There is a cosy inside area & outside seating. Parking is free. This is a very good location for visiting St. mawes, St.Just in Roseland and the Trelissick NT gardens on the King Harry Ferry. That in itself is a treat. You can also take a ferry to Falmouth from St. mawes.
There is a good specials menu & an amazing one just for the Cornish cheese board. Consisting of Miss Muffet, Cornish Smuggler, Cornish Jack & the well known Cornish Blue & Cornish Yarg.
I had tasty mussels in a traditional creamy sauce of garlic parsley & white wine with very fresh bread for dipping into the delicious sauce. My partner had the Creamy crab risotto which he said was delicious. We enjoyed a glass of the famous Doom Bar beer.
We could not resist the Cheese board but the puddings & ice cream looked tempting.
