My husband and I have stayed at The Hotel Riviera many times over the last 20 years.We have always loved it but it did need a refurbishment as it was beginning to look a little bit old and shabby in parts although the food,service and staff were still perfect. The hotel closed last November for 6 months and we couldnt wait to get back to see what they had done. WOW!!! What a difference.It has been totally modernised.Everywhere is stylish,smart,luxurious.The whole hotel has been completely redone.Lovely modern bedrooms with the biggest and most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and gorgeous bathroom with massive walk in shower. All the public areas have been redone,the pool area and gardens are beautiful.There is a another A La Carte restaurant as well as the main one.The food is even better than before.The service and the staff are still as good .. It is now a couples hotel so is adults only.This means that without children running round the whole holiday was a very peaceful and relaxing experience.
