Earlier this year I was lucky enough to win a 2 night stay at Riverside House through Silver Travel Advisor. Unfortunately we were not able to go due to illness, But thanks to Wendy Boast, the lovely owner of the house we were able to reschedule our stay. Riverside House is a very large self-catering property at Litton Mill in the Peak District. Upstairs there is the master bedroom with ensuite shower room. There is a further double bedroom and a room with 3 single beds and a cot. There is a large bathroom upstairs. Downstairs there is another double bedroom with TV and dvd player, and a large shower room with toilet and basin. The kitchen is huge, with 2 fridges, a freezer and a dishwasher and a large range double oven. There is a utility room with washer and dryer. The lounge is magnificent with comfy sofas to sit on. This room is heated by a wood burning stove as well as radiators. There is also a double garage with a well equipt games room above it. I can honestly say I have never stayed in such a well equipt holiday let before. In the kitchen there is more than ample cutlery, crockery and pots and pans. Everything that you could possibly need is there for you. It is the same throughout the house, a great attention to detail has been taken. Also, the house has been restored to an extremely high standard and is beautifully decorated throughout. Riverside House is in the tiny village of Litton Mill, and is surrounded by stunning scenery. There are no shops in the village, but there is the larger village of Tideswell just a few minutes drive away where there is a post office and various shops and pubs. We had a lovely stay and although the weather wasnt very good we were nice and cosy in the house. My husband took great pride in lighting the log burner and keeping a good fire going. We visited Bakewell and Buxton while we were there, both interesting places to visit, and we probably ate far too much Bakewell Pudding, but it was very hard to resist.

There is an excellent website where you can find more information and see lots of pictures of the house: www.riversidehouse-peakdistrict.co.uk.

I would like to thank Wendy and Silver Travel Advisor for a lovely prize and a relaxing break.
