River Cottage

River Cottage Kitchen and Deli can be found in the centre of Axminster which his easily accessed by either bus or train. Just five minutes River Cottage HQ it is a welcoming establishment with plenty of seating. The staff are young and well informed. Ingredients come from local farms and they serve breakfast, lunch and evening meals. I enjoyed a hearty breakfast which comprised of naturally produced sausages from Piper’s Farm in Exeter, freshly poached eggs and delicious bread from a local bakery in Bridport As well as the traditional breakfast they also have a range of sourdough options. There is a deli on site and you can of course buy a range of cookery books. Service was quick and the food was freshly prepared There are also several options including various types of eggs e.g. scrambled, poached etc. I have to say it was a very big breakfast and excellent value. The sausages were particularly delicious and it was necessary to ask for a doggy bag as my partner couldn’t manage the second one!. Looking at their website they have some great events coming up and special seasonal. menus. I was most impressed and will certainly be going back for either a lunch or evening meal.
